add information to superbill template
There seems to be a default superbill.pdf template used by the system - how can I add information to this template? I need to print our superbills and forward them to my RCM company, and some informations are missing in the default superbill.pdf. How can I add "payments made" and "current balance" to the superbill?
HI, I am creating invoices and printing out superbills that I then submit to my billing company (not charm) to be used to claim payments from insurance. I need a way to have the superbill template add payments made by patient and the current balance. Revenue Management Claim deleted
Hello, We are using Medisoft V19. We have posted unprocessed transactions from Clinical, created claims in claim management. Now were sending the ANSI format claims using Revenue Management. We always perform Check Claims before sending. On the Send after selecting the gatway, it has presented a window for review of the claims and reported error in few claims. Generating 2 claims from 1 encounter
I'm dual licensed and have been advised by insurance companies to separate procedure codes under each credential respectively in order to receive the highest allowed reimbursement. This requires submitting 2 separate claims for the same encounter. Q: Is there a way to generate 2 bills for the same encounter? ChARM does not allow you to e-submit claims that do not have an encounter date, therefore creating the second invoice/claim without encounter renders it useless. Thank you for your help!
NDC codes for Vaccines- How to make NDCs appear on CMS 1500?
Has anyone figured out how to input NDC codes for vaccines so they appear on a CMS 1500? Mine are not appearing which causes us to be unable to bill for them (costly!!). I'm trying to avoid having to input the NDC codes into the CPT code description. There must be a better way. When I update our vaccine inventory I put the NCD code under 'product number'. I just had claims denied at the clearinghouse because Box 24J is not filled out. I have never had this problem before. How/Where do I fill out my personal NPI number so that box 24J gets filled out on the CMS1500 form?
Insurance Refunds
We are not currently using Charm RCM/Billing services but we are entering insurance payments in by hand. Has another been able to figure out how to refund an insurance payment due to a overpayment? Anyone have an idea if we just treat it as a typical refund? That only issue is that some insurance companies don't ask for a refund, they just take the money they would be paying for other claims and keep that. Maybe I'm over thinking this. Help!

Any suggestions for best practices on coding for non covered services. In my holistic practice I provide a variety of modalities. Should I just use the same generic non covered service cpt for all the multiple procedures I do; only varying the description of the service?
Statements
I would really really like the option to send out statements on a patient's account rather than invoices for each individual date of service. I send invoices electronically and via mail at the end of the month and people often have more than one visit with balances. PLEASE make this an option!!
How to remove balance due in Patient's Invoice?

Hi there! Can you please tell me...how do I revise amounts of credit added to a patient's account in the past? The situation: I added credit to a patient's account on the "Receipts" --> "Add Payment" function as a patient was due a partial refund. That refund amount has been applied to invoices that have been approved in the past. HCFA not lining up correctly in the boxes
The x's in the test page line up correctly, However, when I print a patient HCFA the data all ends up slightly higher and to the right. How do I modify the alignment on the HCFA? I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

I would really love the ability to send monthly statements to patients rather than individual invoices. I need to do paper in addition to sending to PHR/email. Right now, it is so cumbersome and time consuming to run an A/R report and go to each individual account to send multiple invoices. Thank you!
Default # of line items in an invoice
Hi, Is there a way to define the default number of line items that appear when you create a new invoice? The superbill we have today defaults to 3 line items and I'd like it to default to just 1. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! - Mike
ICD 10 -
On the Superbill, under Diagnosis, it has a default line that says "ICD-9 Code" It says that even if you put in an ICD 10 Code, and I can not find a way in the templates to change that. Will it change automatically on October 1? Also, I'd like to know if there is a frequently used template for ICD 10 codes! Or if there will be... Thanks, Star
Adding invoice headers
Is it possible to add a header to the invoice (other than procedures and products)? I have sold a lab test the patient wishes to claim from the insurance company, but they didn't accept the lab test listed under "products" on the invoice and want to see it listed under a "Diagnostic Laboratory Test" header. 'insufficient / out of stock'
The following tag pops up on my invoice summary when selling a product that registers out of stock. " Following products are having 'insufficient / out of stock' You can still go for advance selling & order them later" . It will not allow me to approve invoice. Could you clarify what this means. Invoice and Bill sorting
It would be nice to be able to sort invoices and bills by column heading. For example, if you wanted to sort by encounter date, invoice created date, status, etc. It would also be nice if after approiving an invoice from the Generate a bill screen, that it would pop you back to the generate bill screen rather than going to the invoice screen. Same with after creating a claim. I want it to pop me back to the screen I was on since I do it in batches.
Invoicing: Adding a write off category under invoices
Does anyone have a way to add type of 'write off' under the invoice options? I would like to be able to keep track (in this system,) of how much patients are using their cards and how much I am paying in fees specifically. Anyone aware of a way to add 'Merchant fee' to the drop down list of 'contractual, bad debt, small amount and other'? Many thanks!
Edit claims (box 24 E)
I'm getting a lot of rejected claims because I can't populate the field for box 24E. Only once have I seen an actual error message. It said something like, there is no diagnosis pointer for CPT codes 97810 97811. Is there a way to fill the fields my self, or otherwise solve this problem?

Is it possible to add miscellaneous items to the invoice as they come up (and for which pricing will always be different), or does everything have to be pre-entered under billing codes? TIA!
Patient Balance vs Unused Payment
Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to issue a refund due to an overcharge. After revising an invoice, the patient was left with a negative balance. However, the "payment refund" option only appears for those patients that have an "unused payment". For whatever reason, although this patient has a negative account balance, they do not have an unused payment, and therefore I have no option to issue a payment refund. Thanks for your help!
