Merge patients
Is there a way to merge patient accounts? When I imported my patient list, some of my patients are in there twice.
Patient Balance vs Unused Payment
Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to issue a refund due to an overcharge. After revising an invoice, the patient was left with a negative balance. However, the "payment refund" option only appears for those patients that have an "unused payment". For whatever reason, although this patient has a negative account balance, they do not have an unused payment, and therefore I have no option to issue a payment refund. Thanks for your help!
Ordering other diagnostics
Where would be the best place in the chart to order other diagnostics such as an ECG? I want to be able to write the order and print it out to send with the patient. Thanks
No options under "select tax" drop down menu
I don't get any options under the "select tax" drop down menu - not when creating an invoice, not when I'm entering settings for billing, and not when adding inventory - do I need to change something for this under settings? Or is it because I'm located in Canada and have different sales tax? Thanks for your assistance with this matter, Lineke
Sales Tax
I am entering my inventory into ChARM and am finding that I can only choose one type of tax to add to my retail items. This means that I cannot separate state from city taxes, making the retail billing useless for sales tax tracking. Is there anyway to select more than one sales tax type for each item?

Help with setting up 100% Electronic AND Remote New Patient Intake Process
I have hit a roadblock with trying to go 100% electronic & remote: There is no ability for patients to sign consent forms and medical release forms from within the new patient intake questionnaire. I know the software exists and creates a legally binding signature (e.g. DocuSign) - so I am wondering if this is something that ChARM will be including in their system at some point? In the meantime, I'd love to hear any solutions that other docs and practitioners have come up with for this - to avoid

I created an encounter and in my haste went back to create an encounter saying yes instead of choosing the current day's encounter. How do I delete an unnecessary encounter? thank you george
Questionnaires: how do I view and fill them out as if I were a patient?
I want to view and fill out all my questionnaires as if I were a patient after I create them to ensure they work properly and they flow just like I want them to? Dummy patient Ideally I would log in as the dummy patient via the patient portal (after I send him the questionnaires) and view and fill them out on his behalf. This would provide valuable information. But I LACK access to his patient portal sign in information. Help! Angelica
Questionnaires versus Documents for Patient Consent Forms
I am looking to find a way to simplify the consent and privacy document acknowledgments. Within the questionnaire framework it seems I would be able to post most of the aspects of my documents and then ask questions along the way to elicit consent. This would lack a signature. Is this advisable or is the only way really to have the patients print forms, sign them and email them back before their appointment? Or ask them to read the forms and be prepared to sign using the kiosk function on an ipad
Patient Demographics
I would like to change the patient demographics. I'n not talking about editing what had already been entered, but changing the questions. Like, I'd like to remove the race and ethnicity questions, and I'd like another choice for gender. Is this currently possible? Thanks, Star

We do not bill insurance, though we often provide Super Bill for patients to submit to on their own. I would like to give them a receipt that shows multiple visits - I think there is a way but I can't find it! Thanks, Star
Massage Therapist Charting
Hi- Does any of the providers here using Charm have massage therapists or other non physician providers in the office? I'm setting up our system and am trying to figure out the best way for the non physician providers to do their chart notes. Often patients will see the physician and the non physician provider on the same day- but they just pay one bill. How do I have both providers make a SOAP note but only have one bill for the patient? I need all the procedure codes on one bill, is that possible?

Unable to upload images to then use in templates
I searched in the FAQ section and found this: "Is it possible to do markings on medical images? Yes, you can do markings on the medical images and store them as part of the chart note. How to handle "incident to" billing?
How do you handle "incident to billing?" We have a scenario where there is a non-physician provider who is performing services that are billed under a different provider. The NPP does the charting, but we would like the invoice to reference the billing provider instead. Is there an easy way to handle this with ChARM? Thanks!
Formatting in templates?
Is there a way to get formatting (specifically bold letters) to appear in templates? I have a few items I always go back and bold after I use the template to populate the chart note and it would save a lot of time to have it automatically appear bolded. Thanks!
Making "inactive Patient" Active again!
How can I make a patient "active" after marking them "inactive"? I thought I did it the other day (just dealing with mistakes and learning curves), but now I can't figure it out! Thanks for your help! Star
Change encounter dates?
I have been asked if it is possible to change (back date) an encounter, so that you can start a record for an encounter that happened a couple days ago. I understand that this is not an ideal way to chart, but it helps some people get familiar with the system by allowing them to learn and test it outside of an actual patient encounter first.
I would like a template that is a paragraph to put in the "Instructions" of a Comp SOAP note
I would like to create a template that is a paragraph. I write the same information for certain consultations repeatedly in the "Instructions" part of a SOAP note (that gets printed in a Patient summary) In creating a template there do not seem to be any items where I can just create a paragraph. There are CheckList, Simple Question , Yes/No etc - but these are one line and will not allow for multiple sentences. Seems there should be a WYSIWYG option where template can be just a paragraph. I recently joined the forum. Tried to reply to another post and after logging in the reply link disappears. If I click on the "private reply" link on the right side it says I do not have permission to reply after I fill in the post information. Is there some other setting needed to reply to others? Inventory Report
We have not found a way to easily reorder products using the current inventory report options. We need a clean clear report that has the product and the SKU (product code). The "inventory by product" report doesn't have SKU's. The "reorder level report" has a place for "batch number" that can be used for SKU but has repeats products line after line creating long confusing reports. I tried to rename the products to include the SKU's but that isn't possible. Would welcome additional ideas and strategies
LOST access to all my patient charts! HELP!
I am in the process of changing my practice name from Dr. Debi Walker to Sierra Naturopathic Cancer Care and when I added this name as a "New Facility" I lost access to all my charts under facility name "Dr. Debi Walker." The system also won't allow me to toggle back to the facility "Dr. Debi Walker." I am now resolved to get some professional help with ChARM, but I have not been able to find anyone who specifically knows this system. Please advise, Dr. Debi Walker
