Setting up PHR?

We are a relatively small practice that has been using ChARM since September (4 months). We want to explore using the patient portal, but want to start small. 

Where do we choose what the patient has access to? 
How do we upload to the patient's PHR? 
I saw a video that a practice shared that showed them able to start Release of Info requests w/patients. How do we do that? 
Can we change which providers the patient can email? We would like our administrators to gather patient messages to screen them before going to the doctors. Is this possible? 
Can/do we create our own Welcome Page for the PHR that a patient sees when they are about to enter or when they first enter the PHR?


What are some tips for just starting to use the PHR? Best things? What to watch out for?
