NDC codes for Vaccines- How to make NDCs appear on CMS 1500?

Has anyone figured out how to input NDC codes for vaccines so they appear on a CMS 1500? Mine are not appearing which causes us to be unable to bill for them (costly!!). I'm trying to avoid having to input the NDC codes into the CPT code description. There must be a better way. When I update our vaccine inventory I put the NCD code under 'product number'. It still doesn't show up.
