Screen Pop or Phone Call Triggering Patient's Chart in ChARM - Tips & Tricks
Hello ChARM Community,
I am using a program (CallScape) from my VoIP phone provider that will open a webpage when I receive a phone call. The program modifies the web link to include the %callers_number%, which dynamically inserts the phone number of the person calling into the web link.
So why is this important or helpful?
Your web browser then opens up a search page in ChARM with patient's phone number allowing very quickly and easily access your patient's information in ChARM.
How can I use this in my practice?
1.) You will need a program from your VoIP vender that can call web pages and insert their phone number.
2.) You will need to create your link - do a phone search from within ChARM; after the search, select & copy the link from the web address bar
3.) Modify the link for your clinic - see blow:
I have included the link below - the key components to add after ACTION=FETCH_PATIENTS are:
&KEY_NAME=PHONE
&KEY_VALUE=%callers_number% (my program uses %callers_number% to insert the caller's phone number, but this will likely change depending on the program you use for the screen pop)
&SEARCH=TRUE
&FACILITY_ID= (this will be a very long set of numbers and letters at the end of the link you copied)
